We comply with all relevant environmental, health, and safety legislation and continually seek to improve our sustainability performance through measurable actions and transparent reporting.
Scope
This policy applies to all MTF Diamond Drilling and Controlled Demolition Ltd activities, including:
- Controlled demolition and diamond drilling operations
- Robotic plant hire and maintenance
- Transport, logistics, and waste management
- Procurement and supply chain activities
- Office and site management
It covers employees, contractors, suppliers, and any parties acting on behalf of MTF Diamond Drilling and Controlled Demolition Ltd.
Commitments
- Carbon and Energy Reduction:
Measure and reduce energy use and emissions from our fleet, plant, and facilities through efficient scheduling, maintenance, and adoption of low‑emission technologies. - Resource Efficiency and Circularity:
Minimise waste generation, maximise recycling, and extend equipment life through preventative maintenance and refurbishment. - Responsible Procurement:
Prioritise suppliers with strong environmental and ethical standards and include sustainability criteria in procurement decisions. - Pollution Prevention:
Prevent pollution to air, land, and water through safe handling, storage, and disposal of fuels, oils, and hazardous materials. - Biodiversity and Land Use:

Objectives and Targets
Initial focus areas include:
- Energy and Emissions: Establish baseline data and set reduction targets for fuel and electricity consumption.
- Equipment Lifecycle: Increase average service life and operational efficiency through improved maintenance and scheduling.
- Waste Reduction: Reduce waste to landfill and increase recycling rates across all sites.
- Sustainable Procurement: Increase the proportion of suppliers meeting defined sustainability criteria.
Targets will be time‑bound, measurable, and reviewed annually.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Board of Directors: Provide leadership, approve policy, and allocate resources for sustainability initiatives.
- Managing Director: Ensure policy implementation and integration into business strategy.
- Sustainability Lead / Appointed Responsible Person: Coordinate sustainability activities, track performance, and report progress.
- Managers and Supervisors: Embed sustainability in operational decisions and ensure staff training.
- Employees and Contractors: Follow procedures, support initiatives, and report opportunities or concerns.
- Suppliers and Partners: Expected to align with MTF’s sustainability requirements and demonstrate continuous improvement.
Implementation Measures
- Assessment and Planning: Conduct sustainability risk and opportunity assessments and integrate findings into business planning.
- Energy Management: Implement energy‑efficient practices across sites and optimise fleet routing.
- Maintenance and Lifecycle Management: Use preventative maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce resource consumption.
- Waste Management: Segregate, reuse, and recycle materials; ensure compliant disposal of hazardous waste.
- Procurement: Include environmental and social criteria in supplier evaluation.
- Training and Awareness: Provide staff and contractor training on sustainability responsibilities.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and communities to promote sustainable outcomes.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Review
- Performance Monitoring: Track key indicators such as energy use, fuel consumption, emissions, waste volumes, and supplier compliance.
- Internal Audit and Management Review: Conduct periodic audits and annual reviews to assess effectiveness and set new targets.
- Reporting: Communicate progress internally and publish summary information on www.mtf-ddcd.com where appropriate.
